Voce faringea: Eine Kunst der Belcanto-Tenöre
Geschichte – Physiologie und Akustik – Übungen. Bärenreiter, Kassel 2018. ISBN 978-3-7618-2468-9. In German. The printed edition is out of print; the book is available as an eBook.
A special singing technique built on the falsetto register, the voce faringea , enabled the bel canto tenors to extend their upper range considerably and to produce top notes of a tenoral, virile timbre with the utmost artistry. The book presents the historical register theories and training strategies, the physiological and acoustic characteristics, and practical exercises for learning the technique step by step — for singers, voice teachers and musicologists.
